Out of the fuzz and feedback rises a psychedelic rock gem for the ages called Hot Cargo, the only album from Louisville, Kentucky’s The Rugbys. Released in 1969, Hot Cargo features a variety of experimental sounds only the late ‘60s could produce, from growling garage rock to preaching piano anthems and groovy, organ-laden pop jams. Known for their hit “You, I,” The Rugbys bring exceptional musicianship with a sense of playfulness to songs like “Wendeghal the Warlock,” “Stay With Me,” and more.
